Nobody Talks About This Part

Everybody sees the cute posts… the “I miss you” captions… the video calls…

but nobody talks about what it really feels like to love someone you can’t touch.

To be married… and still go to bed alone.

To build a life… but your person isn’t physically in it.

This Isn’t By Choice

And what makes it worse?

It’s not by choice.

It’s paperwork.

It’s delays.

It’s a system that doesn’t care how long you’ve been waiting… how much you’ve proven… or how real your relationship is.

Years of Waiting… For What?

People have been going through this process for YEARS.

Doing everything right.

Filing the forms.

Paying the fees.

Submitting proof.

Waiting.

Waiting some more.

Then waiting again.

And still… no answers.

Life Doesn’t Pause

Meanwhile, life keeps going.

Bills don’t pause.

Kids don’t pause.

Emotions damn sure don’t pause.

You’re expected to just deal with it.

Be strong.

Be patient.

“Trust the process.”

The Part They Don’t Prepare You For

Because loving someone from a distance isn’t just hard.

It’s mentally exhausting.

Emotionally draining.

Lonely in a way people don’t understand unless they’ve lived it.

It’s the Small Things You Miss

A hug.

A touch.

Laughing in the same room.

Looking at them without a screen in between.

Having a bad day… and not being able to just lay next to them and breathe.

Love Is Still There… But So Is the Frustration

Don’t get it twisted—

the love is real. Strong. Unshaken.

But so is the frustration.

Because how can two people be legally married…

have proof…

do everything the “right way”…

and still be stuck?

Some Days I’m Strong… Some Days I’m Not

Some days I’m focused.

Building.

Moving forward.

And some days… it hits.

Like today.

At the End of It All…

No matter how much I’ve built…

no matter how much I’m becoming…

I still just want my husband.
