My name is LaTonya Kolawole, and this space is my voice—no longer silent. For years, I carried the weight of pain, abuse, and survival, often feeling invisible. But today, I choose to rise, to speak, and to share my journey of healing.

Writing became part of my healing process. Out of that journey came my book, “The Woman I Fought to Become: Beaten, Bruised but Never Broken My Rise from Abuse to Triumph” a powerful story of survival, resilience, and hope. In its pages, I open up about the struggles I endured, the strength I discovered, and the lessons I want to pass on to others who are walking their own road to recovery.

This blog is more than my story—it’s a safe space for anyone who has endured trauma, felt silenced, or questioned their strength. Here, I write about recovery, resilience, and rediscovering self-worth. My hope is that my words—and my book—remind you that healing is possible, and that you are never alone.

I am a survivor. I am a mother. I am a woman finding her power again. And through this space, I want to offer honesty, encouragement, motivation and a community for those who are still finding their way out of the darkness.

Together, we rise stronger.
